Biochemical Reaction Engineering

Description: (Same as Bioengineering M215.) Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour; outside study, seven hours. Enforced requisite: course 101C. Use of previously learned concepts of biophysical chemistry, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and reaction kinetics to develop tools needed for technical design and economic analysis of biological reactors. May be concurrently scheduled with course C115. Letter grading.
