Description: Seminar, two hours. Designed for first-year graduate students to teach advanced problem-solving skills and critical thinking, with focus on problems and recent literature pertaining to materials chemistry. How materials are synthesized and characterized. Discussion of important physical properties, as well as broad range of applications and behavior in devices. S/U grading.
