Interracial Dynamics in American Culture and Society
Description: (Formerly numbered General Education Clusters 20B.) Lecture, three hours; discussion, two hours. Enforced requisite: course 20A. Limited to first-year freshmen. Examination of nature and meaning of race in American society through study of history, literature, and law. Consideration, among other topics, of construction of race as social and cultural category among two or more groups and exploration of ways in which race has shaped understanding of American citizenship. Letter grading.

she's funny! i liked her the most of all the lecturers for the cluster. BUT i still didn't like this cluster. and i'm sure most people in general wouldn't suggest clusters. first quarter was basically pre-20th century US history--the same thing we've been taught since 3rd grade. not exactly my cup of tea. just a bunch of boring essays. you can find better ways to fulfill your GE requirements, i'm sure of it.
