Summer 2017 - Professor Biegel has taught some of my favorite classes at UCLA. He is caring and brings relevant and current information on law and cases to the classroom. He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject of the class and love that he engages current LGBTQ issues as it is a current hot topic. He wears snazzy hats often and always tries to engage his students in any way possible. There are times where if you're tired you may be tempted to fall asleep because lecture can be slow at times, but he doesn't try to trick you with anything and loves creativity in papers! I would 100% recommend this class to anyone taking Education Studies Minor or to people who are interested in learning about laws that exist today, many will surprise you! Class work isn't too heavy so if you are taking a tough class this would be a great class to supplement and get upper division units.
