Fall 2017 - Professor Brown is a great professor. She just got her PhD in a mammalogy field so you can tell she is passionate about the subject. I loved her lectures, she put in gifs, and made the material relatable. Everything she tests on is on the slides, and the tests are pretty straightforward if you study, although it can be dense sometimes. Her labs were pretty hard because you have to ID skulls of mammals that can all look pretty similar. My advice is to make a powerpoint for yourself with pics of each skull from all angles and descriptions of each skull in the speaker notes so you can practice IDing skulls at home. My only issue with her is she speaks really quickly, so either learn to type really quickly or record her lectures because they are not podcasted. Overall love her though! I would definitely recommend her as a professor.

Winter 2019 - This class is pretty challenging at first, but once you figure out how to study for it, it is no that bad. I recommend using quizlet for the lecture exams and making a PowerPoint with the skulls for the lab practicals. This class is pure memorization and going to lecture is a must since he puts questions on the exams based only on what he said during lectures. Overall, this was a good class. I did much better after the first exam and lab practical and ended up getting an A with a 89% in the class.

Fall 2018 - Pang is a good prof but sometimes he can go a little bit too quickly through the material. He makes it very obvious what you should know for exams and the exams themselves are really straightforward and doesnt have a surprise. You can do well in the class by reviewing slides and notes with the learning goals. The lab is a bit tougher because of the amount of material you need to memorize. Just take pics, memorize the distinguishing features, and utilize office hours, and youll be good. I had Evan for my TA, he was knowledgeable and pretty great. Clive is also pretty good. Highly recommend taking it with Pang if you can.
