Description: Lecture, three hours; discussion, two hours. Requisites: course 100, Life Sciences 1 or 7B, Mathematics 3B or 31A or Life Sciences 30B. Highly recommended: Mathematics 31B, 32A. Designed for departmental majors specializing in environmental and population biology. Introduction to population and community ecology, with emphasis on growth and distributions of populations, interactions between species, and structure, dynamics, and functions of communities and ecosystems. P/NP or letter grading.
