Professor Boss is one of the better professors I've had at UCLA...of course I am an Economics major and it's rare to come by a good professor. She goes over all the material that is in the midterm and tells you what she expects. She is a also a very good lecturer and keeps you awake in class. Her midterms for me were not difficult at all and her TA's were very helpful. I would gladly take her class again.

I have never met anyone who does not like Gonzalo Freixes and I probably never will. Simply put, he is a great teacher; one of the best I've ever had. His lectures and online notes are well organized. His exams are difficult, but fair. It is a shame we do not have more professors like him at UCLA. Take any class that he is teaching, regardless of your major.

Winter 2020 - She's rather entertaining. If you don't go to class, you won't get an A. Look over homework questions and course readers - that should be enough to do average on everything. I stopped going to class after midterms and never opened the book, just glanced over the course reader before the final and it was enough to score right about the median on the final.

Fall 2020 - (From the perspective of an engineering student taking this for a tech breadth) This class is incredibly boring, and though the material isn’t particularly difficult, the way it was taught made it very hard to force yourself to do. It was only pre-recorded lectures from April, with the grades being entirely the midterm and final. The subject itself is very dull and the lectures worsen this (thank god for 1.6x video speed). That said, it was a very light load of work, which was really nice when taking more work-heavy classes, so would recommend if that’s what you’re looking for in a tech breadth class.
