Spring 2021 - This is a pretty average class. The workload is extremely light: there is no homework and you do not need to read the textbook at all, since everything is in his lectures. His lecture videos were, however, all out of order. There also weren't any practice exam questions besides a few recommended hw problems, some of which have nothing to do with anything we learned. So the clarity is lacking. However, if you take really good notes during his lectures, and watch each lecture video multiple times until you truly understand the intuition behind the concepts (not just memorize his words), then it is not impossible to do well in this class. It's all about taking good notes and religiously studying his videos until you understand intuition. After you've watched the related lecture videos, try all of the recommended textbook problems, but skip the problem if it doesn't correlate to lecture or if the solution contradicts lecture content. Don't be scared away from taking this course with Klein; I found it to be just fine, and I didn't need to study a ton each week. As long as you prepare hard for the 2 exams, you will be fine in this class.

Litt's classes will be what you make of them. Some people enjoy that he focuses on his life experiences as analogies to the material that he's covering, and others prefer if he did practice problems during class. In his classes, you have all of the tools you need to succeed: he's available for help (and friendly, and helpful), the entire course is planned out accurately on the syllabus and he is timely with e-mails and office hours. Personally, I found his stories to be an easier way of remembering or rationalizing through concepts. As mentioned below, he does tell you what concepts will be covered on the test. The tests are nevertheless challenging, and you have to out-perform your classmates if you want an A. The final is signficantly more challening than his midterm; whereas the midterm is time-pressured, but doable, the final is not time pressured but you either know how to do it or you don't regardless of how much time you have. I recommend knowing how to solve all of the practice problems that he assigns in the textbook, and being able to manipulate those. They are a helpful way of seeing if you understand the material.

Fall 2020 - Professor Lu is an amazing and engaging lecturer. He provides extremely detailed notes and you do not need the textbook at all. He gives very useful advice about recruiting/CPA exams as well, very helpful and organized professor. This is a hard, but doable class. You just need to study and put in the work. Because of COVID, the exams were online and through Connect, so you have to buy it to take the exam. Exam are open book because they couldn't get funding for examity, but both the midterm and the final were only an hour long so you won't have much time. Grading Breakdown: 4% Accounting fundamentals quiz (super easy) 40% Midterm 56% Final

He's the most helpful and approachable professor ever in anderson. Very straightforward and willling to go over questions with students numerous time. He really cares about the students and makes the materials easier to understand for us. He provides study guide for exams which are helpful. Dont know my grade yet but I truly feel he's the best professor for mgmt classes. I'd take him whenever he teaches!

Winter 2020 - Exams are challenging in this class because they’re open note/open book exams. Professor Woo lectures are clear and concise, but sometimes boring. She just has this really calm and almost monotone voice but obviously this isn’t a big deal. While the lectures notes and the class examples are mostly straight forward and appear simple, DON’T let this fool you. The exams are way more challenging and closer related to the textbook problems, which can become tedious if you wait until the last week to do them. It will drive you crazy because they can get repetitive! But this is honestly the best way to study. I found the midterm in particular to be very time crushed so try not to refer so often to your notes and just do them from memory and double check if you have time in the end. The final was online and I guess because this was very last minute, she made it extremely easy. It was almost pointless to have spent hours on hours studying for an exam that could have easily been aced without having done any hw. Of course, next quarter it will also be online, but by then she probably will change the difficulty since she has time to format a much harder test! I would recommend taking her if you can 8/10
