Electronic Music Composition

Description: Lecture, three hours; laboratory, three hours. Preparation: advanced experience and accomplishment in serious composition (art music), two years of music theory. Designed for graduate students. Limited enrollment. Exercises in electroacoustic orchestration, meta-pitch composition, notation software (Sibelius), sequencing and film scoring software (Logic), text collages (ProTools), and final project. May be concurrently scheduled with course C176. S/U or letter grading.
