Description: Seminar, three hours. Requisite: satisfaction of Entry-Level Writing requirement. Freshmen/sophomores preferred. Examination of specific puzzles in many areas of philosophy as way into complex topic of relationship between rationality and contradiction. Many problem cases are highlighted, including wishful thinking, moral dilemmas, preface paradox, double-consciousness, implicit bias. Letter grading.
