Psychobiology of Sexual Behavior
Description: Lecture, three hours. Requisite: course 115. Broad overview of scientific study of sexual behavior, with emphases on evolutionary, biological, psychological, and social considerations. Topics include historical antecedents of sex research, evolution of sex, influence of sex hormones on brain and behavior, sexual development, and roles of genes and hormones on sexual orientation. P/NP or letter grading.

Spring 2021 - Let me be clear, this class is tough. You need to know the material inside out and study with other people to do well. The content is interesting and engaging, so it feels like it would be an easy class but the tests are often tricky. There are 3 tests, 30 questions each, that are 80% of your grade, and 10 quizzes, that are 20% of your grade. The quizzes are hugely helpful bc they are due the week after the content is learned, and you get full credit if you get 5/10. The lowest grade is dropped as well. The tests are tough, if you miss a few questions, you're in the B range. There is EC as well, 2% on top. That said, Dr. Wong is AMAZING! So knowledgeable about many topics, and I believe he designed the course himself so this is something he is passionate about.
