Winter 2021 - The class itself was very eye opening and had some great content. However, if you want to do really well then you unfortunately have to read the book (I know, crazy right!?) Parkinson herself is a great professor and goes to the ends of the Earth to make sure that she's doing a good job by asking for feedback during the quarter. The class is composed of 3 exams (90% of final grade) and weekly minute papers (10%) in which you just have to talk about something cool from lecture. The exams are split into two parts: Part 1 is individual and part 2 is a group test where you essentially redo the exam with random people. At first, I thought the second stage was great but I soon realized that it can be unfair in some cases as sometimes your group mates don't study. Exams include material from the book such as definitions and certain concepts not covered in lecture. If you're willing to put in the work then by all means take the course but if you wanna save the trouble of doing so much work then I advise you to look elsewhere. Overall: 3 Easiness: 3 Workload: 2 Clarity: 4 Helpfulness: 5
