Fall 2019 - It's funny because I did not know how to rate his helpfulness because I rarely needed help in the course (except after a death in my family, which he was extremely supportive about). It was so organized. He made everything clear and really is one of the most pleasant people I have ever met. He is just a delight, he is knowledgeable and very funny. We had a midterm and a final. They both consisted of people identification (from a list of relevant people, we had to write down their occupation, 2-3 films they were associated with, and 2 biographical facts), film identification (by dialogue for the midterm, and then by image for the final), and then an essay. I am super anxious about exams but these went well for me. As long as you pay attention to the material, it will be an easy experience. I learned so much about Ingmar Bergman and Swedish film in general, and I want to keep the slides and my notes forever because he made it all so interesting. I would love to take another course with Lunde. I'd also just love to be Lunde's friend because like I said he's just a delight. Definitely recommend anything he teaches.
