Description: Lecture, three hours; laboratory, two hours. Taught in Spanish. Laboratory is online. Introductory Spanish language and culture course that is proficiency-oriented, communicative, and task-based to help develop communicative competence in four skill areas (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), as well as cultural competence. P/NP or letter grading.

Fall 2021 - This is the best class I have taken at UCLA. Dr. Jesus is truly the best professor out there. He was VERY helpful during explanations and was very helpful when I had technical difficulties in exams. His lectures were very interesting and fun to attend. The exams were very fair for the content taught. Participation is required and there are two group projects. He is an amazing professor.
