Fall 2017 - This class is Tai Chi and the professor is a living master of Tai Chi. You could not be taught by a better teacher who has 579 medals to this date and is nationally considered to be one of the best if not the best. The class is very simple. You go to class and you do the 12 movement Tai Chi form, which is taught throughout the quarter. The repetitious nature of the class will allow you to remember the form without worrying about it too much. The final consists of you and four other people going into 1350 and the Professor examining your ability to execute the form. After you're done going the form, he tells you your grade right then and there. As long as you do the form and attend class, you will get an A. Attending class at 8:00AM in Macgowan is tough because it's far away, but that's real challenge of this class. Otherwise, overall, Tai Chi is that cup of coffee you want before you start the day. It energizes you slowly through relaxation techniques and conceptual fighting. The fighting demonstrations are the coolest part of this class.
