Sound Design for Theater

Description: Lecture/studio, four hours. Requisites: courses 14A, 14B, 14C. Exploration of sound design for theater and techniques for mixing, reinforcement, and signal processing. Topics include use of delay, equalization, and microphone placement for theater sound reinforcement. Study of creation of sound effects, control of MIDI data, and design techniques for musical theater. May be repeated once for credit. Concurrently scheduled with course C454B. Letter grading.
