I love Amy! Truly such a sweet soul who cares about her students and their mental health. Lectures were very engaging we had many guest speakers, mainly from Columbia which was very interesting to see how different the world is over there. Not too many assignments, weekly discussion posts which you can finish in like 5 min. 3 reflection papers (very easy to do) and a 1 page policy memo (also very easy to do). Overall if you need a light GE or plan on minoring/majoring in PA please take it with Amy.
Engaging material and professor, professor Amy also really really cares about her students. Even during the pop quizzes she’d make sure that everyone’s calm and she’d try to assure us that even if we don’t do well on the quiz there’s other chances to do better etc. I will say that the class has a lot of readings, though - but they all tend to be interesting enough, especially if you’re a pubaff major (I am, so I might be biased). The class is extremely low stress even though there are group projects, they’re not that bad, and my experience was overall very positive.
