Fall 2018 - It was not a horrible class but honestly, I didn't learn anything. The class would be better as a lecture in my opinion. Since it was a seminar we literally sat in a huge circle and talked about public diplomacy but literally nobody knew what they were talking about and Sanders (although a smart guy) was all over the place and didn't seem like he knew what was going on either. The "TA" was literally in my grade and transferred to UCLA when I did. The only reason he was the supposed TA was because he took Sanders other class the quarter before (meaning he had never taken a Public Diplomacy class!). There was a group project, final paper, and weekly discussions. Average class overall, if looking for an easy A I'd choose something else before this.

sanders really knows what he is talking about but can get carried away by his topic sometimes. The class has no tests, just papers. He really cares that you learn about architecture and makes sure that he hears everyone in the class during discussion. He actually took us on a field trip which is a rarity at ucla and it was great. Don't miss it if you are taking his class.
