Being an international student, I took this class without prior knowledge of American history and politics. Most people in the class had learnt the material, but I found it relatively harder just because I was not familiar. However, I did regular readings and the material was easy to digest. I came across some difficulties with the paper and some of the terms, but the TAs were extremely helpful and graded the papers leniently. I went to office hours of another TA and he was friendly enough to answer a lot of my questions!
There is one midterm, one paper, and one final, and there is quite a bit of memorization to do if you have never done a class about American government, but it should be a breeze to understand and score well if you have! And if you haven't, the class is interesting and a little bit of effort will guarantee you an A :)
This class is a repeat of AP GOV if not easier. Professor T made the class as engaging and interesting as possible. Super awesome to have taken it during the election... What you put into the class you will get out of it. recommend as the easiest political science GE
He was the first poli sci professor I had as a freshman. The tests are usually ID Questions, and about two short essays, which he gives a study guide for. Fairly easy class. The only annoying thing was the weekly reading quizzes in discussion section. They weren’t extremely hard, but it required you to have actually done the reading.
Class is the easiest lower div poli sci class. You know that from the amount of athletes that are in the class. Have you taken Government in high school? Yes? Don't go to lecture. No need to read the book. You're set and should get an A unless you're an idiot. As for Tausanovitch, hes young and hes alright....
