Had him for Chem 110B. Highly recommend. Homework is worth 25% so a good buffer for your grade. Tests are open book. Study Study Study!!! Come prepared and you'll do well. Great teacher, explains stuff very well. Will do deviations not found in the books but tests on the applications of what he derives, so basically no memorization necessary :D

Excellent professor, highly recommend. He is extremely helpful during office hours, always gives thorough explanations. Tests are open notes! He focuses on derivations during class but tests are all about applying equations derived in class.

This class is challenging and requires a great knowledge of physics 1C. The first part of the course is basically him going over physics 1C in 4 weeks. The second part of the course is learning about spectroscopy and quantum mechanics. I got a couple of points below the average on the midterm but did extremely well in the non cumulative final and ended up with an A. You might do bad on the midterm but on the second you can do better and bring your grade up. Visit his office hours! He's not as clear about explanations during class as he is in his office hours. Very nice man. I would totally recommend anyone to take him but be ready to work hard. His problem sets are give each week and graded on attempt. haha they're a little bit too hard to solve completely but his tests are open book!
