Fall 2015 - This professor is my favorite professor I've ever had at UCLA. He is so fantastic at facilitating discussions. This class goes in depth about how systems of disenfranchisement of individuals have permeated our society -- i.e. racism, sexism, etc. There's a decent amount of reading, but none of it is frivolous. Also! There's a service learning component of this course and I got a nearly year long internship out of the service learning partner that I got while taking this class. (Service learning is where you go and intern at a nonprofit for 3 hours/week -- seems kind of daunting, but really is such a great break and feels amazing to give back). tl;dr: 10/10 would absolutely recommend!!!!
