Amazing professor who cares deeply about the students' learning and well-being. We need more professors like Dr. Ozel, especially in the FAM major, who gives clear lectures and illustrate time value of money through various diagrams. I greatly appreciate his help and patience during OH. He grades pretty leniently on exams, which are fair and preps decently for the FM Exam.

Professor Ozel was the best professor I had at UCLA! He is the only reason I survived FAM at UCLA. He is a very clear and understanding professor and genuinely wants to teach his students. I would highly recommend him!

Prof Ozel is awesome. The material we cover in this class is not super easy, but if you practice a lot in the beginning of the quarter, it’s easy to understand the later concepts because they build off the earlier ones. As for Ozel, he’s extremely helpful in office hours and offers a generous grading scheme: lowest 2 out of 5 quizzes are dropped, and there’s 2 midterms and one final. The first midterm and the final both had extra credit questions. Because he also led Discussion, he observed how long it took us to take the quizzes (just 2 questions) and set the length of the exams accordingly, so we wouldn’t run out of time. I highly highly highly recommend him. Great prof and great person.
