ls4. it was so hard to understand him at times because he stutters a lot. i was too lazy to even watch the bruincast because of his stuttering. but he is a very caring teacher. he has many office hours where he will help students out if they are stuck. we have clicker questions in class

LS4 Dr. Laski is a pretty decent professor. He stutters a lot, which can be distracting, and at times I thought he spoke pretty quickly/skipped some information that he just assumed we should already know. He is very intelligent and well respected in the genetics society, so sometimes I think teaching a basic introductory genetics course can be too "simple" for him, if you know what I mean. But he is pretty available for office hours and will answer questions/work through problems. He really does want students to learn and not just memorize, so he likes to ask questions that make you think about the concepts and not just something he said. He has a tendency to have mistakes in the lecture slides and even on the exams though. He is a bit all over the place it seems like sometimes

I had LS4 with Prof Laski. He stutters a lot but that didn't bother me as it did some people. He's kind of funny but he really goes slow with the material to make sure every last person understood what he was talking about. His exams really make you think about what you know, which is a good thing. I'd recommend taking him, though I can't say that about other professors.
