Professor Klein is the worst. His exams didn't have much correlation with his lectures and the book. His lecturing style is all over the place and doesn't seem to lecture fully on a topic. His office hours at at ridiculous hours (like at 8am) and he does not reply to your e-mails. He does not give partial credit and grades extremely harshly. There are much better management professors out there. Whatever you do, avoid Klein.

Fall 2020 - (From the perspective of an engineering student taking this for a tech breadth) This class is incredibly boring, and though the material isn’t particularly difficult, the way it was taught made it very hard to force yourself to do. It was only pre-recorded lectures from April, with the grades being entirely the midterm and final. The subject itself is very dull and the lectures worsen this (thank god for 1.6x video speed). That said, it was a very light load of work, which was really nice when taking more work-heavy classes, so would recommend if that’s what you’re looking for in a tech breadth class.

Spring 2021 - This is a pretty average class. The workload is extremely light: there is no homework and you do not need to read the textbook at all, since everything is in his lectures. His lecture videos were, however, all out of order. There also weren't any practice exam questions besides a few recommended hw problems, some of which have nothing to do with anything we learned. So the clarity is lacking. However, if you take really good notes during his lectures, and watch each lecture video multiple times until you truly understand the intuition behind the concepts (not just memorize his words), then it is not impossible to do well in this class. It's all about taking good notes and religiously studying his videos until you understand intuition. After you've watched the related lecture videos, try all of the recommended textbook problems, but skip the problem if it doesn't correlate to lecture or if the solution contradicts lecture content. Don't be scared away from taking this course with Klein; I found it to be just fine, and I didn't need to study a ton each week. As long as you prepare hard for the 2 exams, you will be fine in this class.

This class was absolutely dreadful. He's extremely lazy and does not care about his students. All we do is go over case problems in class, but how can we do them if he doesn't teach us the basics of it first? Then, on the test, that's another story! It looks completely foreign to what we've been "learning" in class. Klein is really condescending and apathetic toward his student. I'm a good student and I get good grades, but he structures his class such that it is way beyond unreasonable.

The class was pretty tricky, but not too bad. Don't overstudy. just really make sure you can understand the course reader material. For me, I didn't do so great on my midterm (got a low B) but i believe i got a higher grade on the final, ended with a B. On the exams, the first instinctive answer is usually right (at least 80% of the time) and i could have gotten an A- on my midterm had I followed my instinct and not changed my answers once i put them there (unless i know for sure my answer is wrong). for the final, I had a better idea of what I was doing, so I ended up ok. Also, participate in class as he will possibly raise your grade by half a letter if he sees you make the effort to really participate consistently. Overall tough class but it was interesting and I learned useful stuff.

There is no homework, although doing the recommended homework may help you prepare for exams, since there aren't a lot of preparation materials. Klein responds quickly to emails if you need help. I loved going to Professor Klien's classes. I really enjoyed his lectures, and was impressed with his ability to make complicated and at times boring topics clear and interesting. I learned a lot. The key in his class is to know the reader inside out. It also helped me to record his lectures and listen to them while I was preparing for the tests. Both the midterm and the final are challenging but definitely doable. In my opinion, Klein is one of the most knowledgeable and charismatic professors at UCLA. I strongly recommend him. After Litt's boring and useless lectures, Klein's classes are a breath of fresh air.
