Overall, this is the best professor that you can take this class with. There is a lot of material that needs to be memorized for both the midterm and the final, and for the final we had to apply some material from the first half of the class. Consistency and memorization is key in passing this class, because other than the two tests there are two papers that as long as you write about an article you will get full credit. The course reader is a requirement and will be your best friend for the quarter- I am also selling it 949-891-5684
good luck everyone! :)

bryant is a great fucking guy and this is a great class. 100 is supposed to be hard, but it was honestly really easy. the average for our midterm was a 92. the midterm was 100% memorization of the material and the final was memorization and a little bit of application of concepts from the first half of the class. the readings are kind of dense but honestly not necessary. he tells you exactly what you need to know in his lectures. some of the concepts are really difficult to understand on your own, but if you listen/ask questions in class you'll get it. he's also super, super helpful during office hours, and he's a really chill, funny guy. highly recommend bryant.

Bryant is a chill professor. His class was a tougher communications class but definitely very doable. Readings are very scientific but I only skimmed them. I got a 90 on the midterm, don't know what I got on the final exam or final paper but it had to have been As since I got an A in the course so it wasn't too difficult.

I AM SELLING THE COURSE READER. CHEAP price. text me for details 8186065061

This class was a major requirement for Communication Studies so I had to take it. Professor Bryant is a funny and down to earth guy. His lectures may be sometimes boring, but the content is interesting. You have two exams (midterm & final) as well as two papers (3 page double spaced if i recall correctly) . Literally the two papers you can do hours before class and they will give you full credit. There are a lot of readings, but usually he only tests you on the concepts in lecture so pay more attention to lecture. Readings are just supplemental. Remember to take good notes in discussion and don't be afraid to attend other TA discussions if yours isn't as good. If you work hard you will get a good grade!

Bryant is a cool guy who gives entertaining lectures. You can tell he's into what he studies, and even if I'm not into it, at least I don't fall asleep in his class. He's really into the social science-y side of COMM vs. interpretational, so just know that the class is designed around that framework. Bryant is very smart and sometimes the way he talks makes alot of assumptions about prior knowledge. He didn't always make connections as clear I needed them to be, but if you raise your hand and ask him to go over something he already said, he will- and he does a great job. It is clear that he's a professor who wants students to actually understand the material, not just memorize it.

If you pay attention to his lectures and really study his slides, you will be ok on exams. The course reader wasn't really necessary, but it helps ALOT since most of what is on the test is what overlaps from readings and lecture material. It's good to review with. Bryant doesn't try to trick you on exams.
