Casey's amazing! I haven't gotten my grade back yet and there's a fairly high chance I've gotten a C, but that's not on her, that's on me! She's an incredible teacher and I like her a lot. She gives a ton of extra credit, is clear in her lecturing, and structures her tests fairly - they're not direct copies of her study guide, but she doesn't surprise you with concepts that you barely touched on. 10/10 would recommend Casey.
Lab reports are hard if you don't have some old ones like most of the class will have. Exams were fair but long so pay attention and keep up with the work.

Professor Casey is an amazing lecturer in that she teaches you the concepts very well. However, her exams are very conceptual. The good thing is the majority of the class points come from lab, which is just a ton of busy work. If you need all the newest (fall 2018) A graded labs, text me @ 661-292-9419. I will sell them for 5 dollars.
The class is easy if you have access past labs and exams, but if not it's a ton of work that's easy to get points taken off for little things. Email jeremypeter33@gmail.com if you are interested in cheap A-graded labs and an old exam almost identical to the final.
Dr Casey is a fantastic lecturer and awesome professor. She genuinely cares for her students and offers a solid amount of extra credit.
You have 2 labs a week so theres a lot of busy work. Her exams are fair and not super hard but not easy either. Her study guides are way harder than the actual exams too so dont worry if you struggle on them!
Do the problem sets, do the study guides, go to office hours (both for Casey and TA), and do the extra credit and you will be fine. Highly recommend office hours just so you get as many points as you can for extra credits and labs.
Professor Casey is one of the best professors I've had at UCLA. I took her for 14BL the quarter before, and that definitely helped with my understanding of 14CL since the class format is almost exactly the same. It might be overwhelming for people who have never had her before.
Casey's CCLE page is super organized, which makes it easy to find due dates and assignments. (She also includes check boxes for you to check and know what assignments you've finished which is so cute.) Her lectures are engaging (but not mandatory) and her office hours are very helpful. I highly recommend going to these even if you've never attended office hours in your life. She's super sweet and approachable! Her midterm isn't too difficult (there's only one) but the final is definitely harder. But if you study the material (ESPECIALLY LEARNING OBJECTIVES), keep up with pre/post labs and their deadlines, and put in the work, you should do fine!
Also, TAs really matter in 14BL/CL since you spend most of your time with them. If you know a TA will be good, make sure you get them (even if it's an 8AM lab). HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jay McDaniel, best TA I've ever had.
Casey is bae. I had her for Chem 14BL too, and she's such a kind, respectful, funny, and caring PERSON. Even though I was learning from her as a teacher, she doesn't let her position affect how she treats others, and that is the main reason why I think she's one of the best professors at UCLA. Not to mention that she knows her stuff WELL. Literally, for every one of my questions, she gave a concise, clear answer that made sense! It wasn't even like I had to really think about it afterwards to try to decipher what she says. She's a blessing. She's great. This is my last chem lab class, and honestly I'm so grateful to have taken it with her. For people who truly take classes to learn and not care about the grade, you will enjoy this class. I literally felt like I wasn't even being graded; I was just having fun learning and engaging with the lecture material and labs, and my grade reflected that.
