Professor Agnew is incredibly passionate, approchable, and interesting. I thought this class would be unbearable but it turned out to be one of my favorites. His lectures and tests are very well matched, and his tests are very fair. Make sure you do the practice test, because it is almost exactly the same! I would recommend Agnew in a hearbeat and I can't wait to take another class from him.
The amount of homework in section is ridiculous compared to the weight he gives the final (50% of total grade). The final is not a very good reresentation of your knowledge in the course, and the grading is very subjective and not at all equal (i.e. two people writing the same answers probably could end up with two very different grades). Lectures were pretty good, kept me somewhat interested... just dissapointed with the grading.
i didn't like the subject at all, but he made lectures a little bit more interesting than they could've been. i didn't like how the ta's did all the grading though. i got a B in the class but i think i should've gotten an A-.
