This class content seemed easy until we took the tests. It proved to be a lot more difficult to execute the concepts. Practice practice practice. Don’t memorize.

He is really nice and funny and genuinely cares that we understand the material which is decently rare for a professor. It is a core bio class so it isn't going to be super easy, but I think esdin made it interesting and not painful. Although I do like bio a lot and always have so I might be slightly biased.

Esdin is a great professor, and explains the material with clarity. However, you're probably familiar with the LS7 series, and how vague the exam questions can be. To study, I recommend watching videos that explain difficult concepts, reviewing peqs and clicker questions, and sometimes reading and taking notes on LaunchPad. Also, do ALL the extra credit if you can!!

Esdin the man. If you study a decent amount, this class should be pretty simple. Also, since the material was the most interesting and applicable out of the LS series, I found this class very intuitive with its similarity to the initial LS series. Good luck and remember- The mortal coil of Launchpad is over after this! :)

Esdin has definitely been my favorite professor of the LS7 series! I thought the content and the lectures were a lot more interesting than 7A and 7B, part of it was due to the fact that Professor Esdin is a really funny and engaging lecturer. The exams were still set up the same as the ones from 7A and 7B (multiple choice and true/false questions) but there were also exam wrappers that we could take at after each exam to get points back if you missed any. These were really helpful and helped boost my grade a decent amount, I wish other classes in the LS7 series had that option. Take the class with Esdin, you won't regret it!

Professor Esdin has hands down been my favorite professor of the LS7 series. I did not do as well as I had hoped in 7A and 7B, but I was able to do well in 7C because Esdin was such an engaging and interesting lecturer. The tests were difficult (as all 7 series tests are), but I found the material very interesting. 7C probably had the most launchpad out of all the other classes, but I found it to be way more helpful than for any other 7 series class. As long as you understand the cycles that Esdin goes over, you will do great in the class. Also, after each of the midterms, he offered an "exam wrapper" which is basically a mini quiz you can take to get upwards of 8 extra credit points added to your midterm score. This really helped me be less stressed about the grades I received. Overall, I highly recommend taking 7C with Esdin.

I have learned so much from Dr.Esdin this quarter. He can be really funny sometimes, which makes lectures even more fun and engaging. LS7C was definitely more content heavy than the other classes in the LS7 series. However; the material is more interesting and applicable. The exams were multiple choice and true/false. Exams are hard as expected and in order to do well, you need to go back to the learning objectives and make sure you can understand/do them after each lecture. I also rewatched all the lectures and went over clicker questions. The last 3 weeks were not as fun as the first weeks, but it is definitely doable. Overall, Dr. Esdin was an awesome professor and you should definitely take LS7C with him if you have the chance.

Esdin is a great professor! Most of you know what the 7 series is like now, and 7C is no different. I did find the content much more interesting than 7A and 7B, and Esdin is also super engaging (and sarcastically funny), even in remote lectures. I actually found Launchpad to be quite useful for this class as it is important to know the basics of all the human body systems before attending the lectures and doing the exams. Definitely take advantage of the pre-class reading worksheets and the CLC worksheets because it helps you center in on what the important takeaways are (the Launchpad can be a bit dense). Midterms and final were all multiple choice and most questions were true/false. It seems they took away the free response that Spring students had. I would definitely take Esdin for 7C. Only gripe with this class that I took during the online quarter was that I believe all of the 7 series exams added a written portion to compensate for the online format of exams by adding an unnecessary component to an already tough exam. The final 7 series course was otherwise pretty much what I expected from the 7 series. Launchpad is tedious but necessary. Discussions were tedious but necessary. No clicker questions during lecture though- participation was graded on a couple simple questions per lecture.

I took 7C online during quarantine. Personally I would say 7C is the hardest of the LS series so be prepared to study and give yourself a lot of time to do the Launchpad thoroughly. Also I did not watch the videos in 7A or 7B that are embedded in Launchpad but you definitely should for this class. I would recommend studying at least a week in advance for each midterm. Professor Esdin is a good lecturer and goes at a nice pace so every clicker is explained well. He gave everyone 100% on the final due to covid-19 and the protests too so he is very understanding. I do wish he did better review sessions because they were only 30 minute long pre-recorded videos that just went over the topics briefly so you definitely need to do the studying on your own.

Summary
- Esdin is a good professor (if you get him don't be worried)
- This class takes a lot of time to study for (most content heavy out of the LS series)
- GO TO CLC SESSIONS (I only went to one and I really wish I went to them all it would've
helped a lot!!!)
