Super dope class. Learned a lot about Kafka. Assignments is just one Kafka story per week plus two discussion questions, and you write your own Kafkaesque story at the end. Professor is very nice and funny!

I enjoyed the Kafka class with Professor Komar. Some stories are hit and miss, but ultimately you learn a lot about one of Europe's most treasured and mysterious authors. I was a little disappointed that the course in its online form didn't yield all that much group discussion of the texts. I don't think it's completely the fault of the professor, but sometimes her lectures would usurp all the time that there was left for discussions, but it is very hard to generate good discussion organically over Zoom. I guess my main issue was that the conversations I had in class did not leave me thinking about the texts long after class was over. It was pretty standard and straightforward, extremely interesting, but also didn't quite meet my expectations.

A super cool class where we got to learn a lot about Kafka's different works. The professor obviously knew what she was talking about and was really passionate while still being approachable about them. The Kafkaesque story at the end was fun to write and overall this class had a very light workload but was super interesting. Definitely would recommend it!

This is a wonderful fiat lux for those who want to get into Kafka's short stories. Professor Komar provides an engaging environment to discuss some of the most important issues expressed in Kafka's work, which still hold relevance today. In the end, everyone in the class writes and shares a Kafkaesque story created by ourselves.
