Quarter: Summer 2018
Grade: A
Nov. 18, 2018

I took this Summer 2018, not knowing what to expect, since I’ve never taken a stats class. I found it fairly easy and doable, I took it with physics 5B and it was more than manageable. She does have weekly HW that aren’t too difficult but the TA grading them was a bit picky sometimes. She doesn’t use +\- meaning if u get a B- it’s just a B, but if u get within the B+ range it’s also just count as a B, soo yeah. She is very straight forward and sometimes a little intense. Her humor is a little dry sometimes, but it’s fine. She’s a little scary to talk too but you honestly don’t really need to since all u need is on the slides. But yeah highly recommend to take with her, easy A.

Quarter: Summer 2018
Grade: A

I took this class over the summer and found it fairly easy. Professor Preston was a little strict but a decent teacher. We had a couple of homework assignments per week and three exams (including the final). They were largely non-cumulative, which was nice. It didn't feel overwhelming but could be challenging at times. I didn't feel super comfortable asking her for help, she could be intimidating.
She offers extra credit through SONA. She doesn't give +- grades, so if you get an A- it's still an A. I would take this class with her again because I feel like it was probably easier than with another professor.
