Probably one of the best classes I have taken. Especially with COVID, she was great! It is two hours of lecture per week, quizzes, and then a midterm and final paper. She gives you the prompt of the papers before and then you have like 2 days to complete the final. The lectures are fast paced and have a lot of information, but you must watch them to do well. She also gives extra credit. Overall would recommend this class! She is so nice and accommodating. Nothing bad I can say.
Really interesting class and pretty easy exams. Dr. Norberg fostered a very pleasant and collaborative working environment. She was lenient and flexible, even giving people extensions on the final exam if they had multiple finals coming up and were stressed. I definitely recommend taking this class!
If you’re looking for an easy history course, this is the one. The class is made up of 7 quizzes , a final and midterm, and one extra credit opportunity worth up to 5% of your grade. I recommend doing the extra credit even if you feel like you’re doing well in the class. The professor asked you to write a minimum of X amount of words on the essay but don’t expect to actually write that much she wants much more than that in actuality and will take off points if you fail to mention every source that was gone over in class. Take advantage of office hours to organize your thoughts for the exams. The lectures were interesting and there are weekly quizzes based upon them but they are easy since you just have to remember the terms in red from the slides.
