***GE CLUSTER RATING*** First off, the environmental cluster is great. It's ridiculously easy compared to the other clusters (especially if you took AP Environmental). A few straightforward labs, essentially zero math, and a couple of writing assignments that build up to a paper at the end of the quarter. Midterm and final are a breeze if you attend the review sessions put together by the TAs... Piece of cake. Stolzenbach is sort of an understated lecturer. His section is all about water, which can be tedious at times, but he knows his stuff and makes it so that you don't really need to do the readings to understand the material. I went with him on the aquarium field trip and he was a really nice guy, too! Definitely enjoyed his part of the class. Final Grade: A

Most Helpful Review
Definitely one of the easier civil engineering courses. Some of the topics are fairly difficult however exam problems are very similar to homework. He always provides example homework sets with solutions so there shouldn't be any difficulty completing any assignment or doing well in exams. He is also very generous with sheet sheets so you definitely have more than enough room for all your formulas. I recommend going over past exams and being familiar with homework problem procedures to do well overall in the class.
