Summer 2014 - I took 164 actually. Easy, easy, easy. I am sure it is one of the easiest classes in UCLA. Just one 3 pages take home essay as a final about the course material. I am the person that more concern about the grade than material. However, he makes me think a lot also. You can still enjoy your summer with this class.

Professor Fink is one of the most dynamic instructors Comm. Studies has to offer. This is a great class if you're interested in going to law school and sample how the first year class would be run. The professor assigns about 5 readings (about 25-50pgs each) per week that are landmark cases that prepare the class for the hypotheticals. The class is taught in the socratic method, in which he chooses a student from the audience and debates with them on a particular issue. Most students tend to do well since they are serious about law school and usually are the ones asking questions and discussing the cases. The cases are tricky and the people who read them are debating with the professor and answering the hypos correctly. Overall, I highly recommend this class to a person who wants to learn about the law from an actual professional in the field.

Winter 2016 - This is one of the best classes I have taken in the Labor & Workplace Studies Minor. It really puts the "Workplace" in "Labor & Workplace Studies". I've learned immensely useful information about employment and labor laws in this class, and gained an increased understanding of how these effect the workplace (both union and non union). Great coverage of harassment/discrimination law. Very confusing concept that Fink teaches very clearly. As an LS Minor, I want to help people who are marginalized in the workplace. Knowing the law in this area is soooo valuable, because I now know the difference between "legally actionable" discrimination vs. rude treatment that can't be fought in court.
