I came out of this class really dissatisfied. Walker missed a TON of lectures, which was fun at first but when it's material I actually wanted to learn because it will help me down the road with my major, it was really frustrating. While the class was easy, she got super off topic and I felt vaguely stressed the whole time. While it was nice to get an A, i don't really feel like I know anything new or have a sense of what my major will be like.

Overall this class was pretty easy. Both midterm and final, which make up 90% of your grade, were 75 multiple choice questions that are based mainly on the lectures and Professor Walker's slides. I didn't really use the textbook that much except maybe to clarify concepts that I didn't really understand in lecture. Also, there were a few extra credit questions on the midterm. We also received extra credit for watching and answering questions about a documentary on bullying. Since lectures were 2 hours, they could be a bit dull, but Professor Walker tries to make them more interesting with anecdotes and interesting videos. However, lectures were occasionally canceled. Essay is worth 10% of grade and is just summarizing an article about any psychological topic discussed in class. I got an 80 on my essay but my final and midterm score allowed me to get an A.

Professor Walker was one of my favorite professors last year. She is very engaging and tries to make all lecture material connect to real life or daily life instances. She goes above and beyond to explain difficult things and definitely tries to make psychology a fun topic. She did cancel class a couple times due to personal issues or health issues but she did end up uploading the missed lectures online for us to watch. The textbook wasn't used at all in this class as she uploaded modules and notes on CCLE for us to review. The midterm and final added up to 90% of your grade and all were multiple choice. Study the study guides she puts up and you should get an A easily. The written assignment is 10% and on a research article. The class was enjoyable and I do highly recommend Professor Walker for Psych 10. The only downside of this class was that, during spring quarter it was 4-5:50 pm which made going to class a pain sometimes especially if you end class way earlier in the day on these days but thats a departmental decision and not on Professor Walker's behalf.

She was so great! I took her class when she was teaching half with Hill. She took the midterm half and he did the final half. or vise versa lol but she was great. she was hilarious, showed us pics of her dogs, and made the material very chill to learn. The textbook is definitely necessary. There is no way around it. Tests are "easy" if you read and attend lecture. Just remember to take good notes to know what you have to study for. I also enrolled in AAP sessions for this class. Because of all 3 things (book, lecture, plf sessions) I got an A-.
I am selling the loose-leaf version of the book, back in its original shrinkwrap for $55. I will ship it to you priority. I take good care of my things especially books. I accept Venmo and will ship ASAP with a tracking number. Text: (424) 204-2951
