Quarter: Fall 2021
Grade: B+

The content is pretty cool, just wish the lectures were a bit more engaging and not as much of a drag. Would take it again, pretty cool learning from someone whose entire career was dedicated to building stuff to learn more about space.

Quarter: Fall 2019
Grade: A

This class was a fairly easy GE, if a little boring at times. The midterm was online and it included one math problem and a short answer paragraph, but you could basically use the lecture slides to figure it out. There was no final, but a really quick paper to write that shouldn't take more than 3-4 hours. Prof gives out extra credit like it's Halloween candy, so definitely take advantage of each opportunity to boost your grade. You only really need the textbook to do the homework, but it doesn't take long to just flip through it and find the answer. Overall, it was a really easy A, but it wasn't was interesting as I thought it would be.

Quarter: Fall 2019
Grade: A-

This class was very reasonable and nothing too crazy. The midterm was a take home one and all we had to do is be honest with every source we used and make sure to properly credit our info. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunities. There was a short homework assignment almost every week based on the two textbooks but he has both textbooks scanned and in ccle. The final was an essay about a space mission and again we just had to be honest about the sources we used. The one critique I have of this class is that professor Velli takes way too long to post grades. The entire quarter only the midterm grade was posted. I don’t know the grades I got on my assignments because he didn’t post them but he posted my grade in the class as an A-. Overall pretty simple GE.

Quarter: Fall 2018
Grade: A

I took this class in my very first quarter here at UCLA. Professor Velli once said to us that since we chose to pursue higher education, he hoped that we actually get something out of college, but not just worrying about getting a high GPA. I find his teaching philosophy quite nice because the class was not hard, and Professor Velli was really passionate about what he taught. Besides, he was really nice and he was always available to students after class and during office hours. The only thing I would say, though, is that the class was supposed to be about the sun, but because most students did not have much knowledge of physics, the class ended up mostly being a physics class, and I am not really good at physics. But the part about the sun --though I do not remember much by now -- was quite interesting. Overall, I enjoyed the class and Professor Velli is really nice.

Quarter: Fall 2019
Grade: A

This professor be on some drugs or some Sh*t!!! Every class he rambles and rambles, does not have a clear lesson plan. He does not talk about space half the time. HW is easy, exams are take home. Such an easy A, yet some of my friends got an A- somehow?? I got an A, but he does not grade ANYTHING!!! so nobody knows what grade they have all quarter and all of a sudden he enters it. I ditched class a lot because it was so useless. My middle school professors were better. This class is an EASY A, yet he gave people A- but we dont know why cause he does not enter grades which makes us believe he has personal bias against people. This dude is crazy hes on crack or something. All he does is RAMBLES!!!!
