Prof. Boss is definitely there to help you and to teach you. She is extremely dedicated to her students. Her tests are reasonable. She tells you exactly what you need to know, while her TAs tell you exactly what you need to write for the essays. Her office hours are extremely helpful, and the TAs are easily accessible. Her class is challenging because there is so much material, but it's entirely do-able. It's fast-paced because of all the materials we need to cover, but if you ever need clarification, go to her office hours or just make an appointment with a TA. Put in the amount of effort that she puts into teaching the class, and it'll all pay off.
Professor Boss is one of the better professors I've had at UCLA...of course I am an Economics major and it's rare to come by a good professor. She goes over all the material that is in the midterm and tells you what she expects. She is a also a very good lecturer and keeps you awake in class. Her midterms for me were not difficult at all and her TA's were very helpful. I would gladly take her class again.
It was a great class and Professor Boss did a great job. The classes are a little long during theh summer session(s), but the subject matter made up for it. In addition, Professor Boss was truly accessible and went to great lengths to clarify assignments and concepts. One need not be going to law school to appreciate the practical aspects of the course. I highly recommend MGMT 108 to everyone.
