Professor Sharpe was very kind. She really put effort into her lectures and made the information we're learning very interesting. The course was made up of Quizzes that were 40%, and commentary 1 (20%), and commentary 2 (40%). The quizzes were based on lectures and were easy if you paid attention in class. She dropped the lowest of 5. I got 5/5 on all of them except 1. The only issue I had w/ this class was getting through the papers. They were dense and hard to read. But she really breaks them down in lecture. The commentaries were 2 pages each, and she gives you pointers on how to write them. You can even be a little creative w/ it (she wants you to).

Please believe me when I say Professor Sharpe turned an entire 180 from all of the bad reviews on her page here. Everyone I know who took her class this fall LOVED her. She is the sweetest woman, she wants all of her students to get an A (our class average was an 88%), and she always helps you until you understand. I went to office hours every week before taking her open note quiz, and she would make sure I understood every slide so I could get 100 on the quiz.

Class breakdown:
- 5 question open note quizzes, lowest score dropped (quizzes are based on the readings from the week before but you don't have to do the readings, just skim them and then pay attention in class)
- 2 two page essays written about two of the readings (she gives amazing feedback on the first one so you can do better on the 2nd one, which is worth more)
- SO much extra credit

I recommend this class to anyone who is willing to put in a regular amount of effort for an A. One of the easiest psychology classes I've taken and I'm graduating next quarter.
