Cooperson is phenomenal and a true polyglot! He is so knowledgeable, and I really did learn more from this class than all the Arabic classes I've taken (I'm an Arabic major). Put in the effort into the assignments and you should be fine as he gives you multiple tries to get a 100%. HIGHLY recommend this class!
This class was so much fun! We got to translate a wide variety of things, from an online opinion piece to poetry to YouTube videos. For our final project we could choose basically anything we wanted. Professor Cooperson knows so much about translation and taught us a lot of great techniques and approaches. This class will definitely make you rethink English as well as Arabic. The students in the class were all of different levels in Arabic, from native speakers to intermediate students, and the class suited all of us nicely.
