Summer 2020 - This was my first ever class at UCLA and it was condensed into 6 weeks (so the workload will probably be lighter if you take it in a normal quarter), and overall, it was pretty good! There are discussion posts, weekly (untimed) quizzes that have 6-ish questions with paragraph-length answers, and a final paper, and if you really spend the time and effort on them, you'll probably do really well in this class! The workload can be a lot (reading three full plays every week, watching 2-3 lecture videos, and having to do discussion posts and quizzes), but I found the course material very interesting and relevant. Overall, I'd recommend this class if you need a GE and/or are interested in theater and diversity issues related to theater.
