Winter 2020 - More organized than the first quarter and the lectures are engaging. We have one midterm and 2 papers. Lectures are interactive and the readings generally pertain to what is addressed in class. However, I would suggest reading because anything is fair game for midterms. I have learned a lot in this class thus far and it helps you understand the food system.

Spring 2017 - Extremely down to earth type of person. Ms. McClellan knows the material well and every topic/example she described relates back to the course: environmental justice. She is extremely well organized and has a reason for why she mentions/uses what she does in slides and lecture. Flexible in grading, tests are direct, she tells you what to expect on the test, and always accepts feedback on what she can do better and ACTUALLY implements it. There's also a field trip and group presentation/paper that you won't dread because it's interesting. Also guest speakers come in. You use iClickers for attendance participation. Would take a class with her again.
