Very sweet, she will always try to help you if she can. The first half of the class is all about the book and the midterm is pretty straight forward and is mostly based on her lectures. The second half of the class is putting together a group project and the final is the paper based on this. Overall, I recommend this lab.
I learned a lot in this class and had a good time doing it. Dr. Eisenberger is so nice, and she is funny. She does her best to make the material engaging. The first half of class is based on the book and the midterm is a multiple choice exam. The TA, Peter, was also great and super helpful and accommodating. The midterm is half four-option multiple choice and half essay questions. I really really enjoyed taking my final major class with her. The group project was great and actually interesting and we gave a final presentation and wrote a 7 page paper on the project as our final. 5 extra credit points are given for getting study participants outside of class.
Take this lab. It was easy, fun, enjoyable, worthwhile, and about 10,000x more pleasant of an experience than 100B was!
There are 2 midterms, a 6 week emotion journal, a thought paper about the emotional journal and a thought paper about the book America the Anxious. The first half of the class is honestly the most confusing part because there are so many different models of emotions that you really have to understand to do well in the tests but the second half of the class is significantly more straight forward thus midterm 2 was way easier. Tests are closed book close notes. I loved learning about emotion in depth and Professor Eisenberger is a sweetheart that explains everything to the best of her ability if you don't understand!
Having the opportunity to complete Departmental Honors under Naomi's guidance will forever be the most meaningful and rewarding part of my undergrad. She is incredibly kind, patient, smart and thoughtful. She was always so willing to help as we developed our own research and also in guiding our professional development. She is just amazing.
The class was pretty easy, the first half is mostly theories and models based and the second half is research studies. There are a lot of studies to remember however the class is interesting and Professor Eisenberger is engaging. There is one required book that I got online for free at libgen and it is an easy read. The workload is relatively easy as long as you know the takeaways from each study, the theorists, and their models, then you should do well on the exams. All tests are multiple-choice and there are lots of extra credit opportunities available. It is easy to get an A for the class. I also took it online so being able to rewatch the lectures is essential because the exams are based on the lecture. You should take this class but be ready to remember a lot of research studies.
A great Professor and a great person! You can tell she loves teaching. There is quite a bit of information to remember for exams though which are worth 70% of your grade. Overall, it was a great class.
Dr. Eisenberger is a great professor and her lectures are very engaging. I enjoyed attending her class (it was online during Fall 2021) and would recommend attending them live. The material was interesting but also kind of heavy at the same time. Therefore, I would recommend paying close attending to the different theories, studies, etc that are gone over during lecture. I found the first midterm to be far more difficult compared to the second midterm since it was more application based. You definitely need to study for these exams since they are not "easy".
The SONA studies are a great bonus since extra credit is provided. Overall, it was an interesting class and I would recommend it.
