I had taken this professor before and absolutely loved her. I took 3C with her and it was the best choice I could have made. She was super helpful and genuinely cared if we understood the concepts. She offered office hours every end of class and would schedule it for others days if you needed it. She gave us the practice midterm which was very similar to the actual exams. The hw consisted of maybe 10 problems tops that did take some time but that's calculus for you.
Grade consisted of both midterms and finals and the homework and online hw. It was clear and if you needed help, Professor Greene was always available. She made it more pleasant to learn.
pretty good teacher... took her for math 1. Got an A in the class. Study the example midterms she sends you and you should be good.
PS: I am selling the textbook for $17 its about $25 online(including shipping and handling.) Email me at orangespire17@gmail.com if interested.
Best professor I've had so far. She is really sweet and actually really cares how you do in the class. Definitely go to her office hours and you'll understand. She spent extra time with me outside of class and office hours just to make sure I understood everything. Definitely take her. Not a super easy class, but I left with an A+ with some work put in.
She gets annoying with emails.
I thought this class would be a joke so I thought I could do it in a breeze. NO use your time wisely while taking your midterms you have like 40 min. If you do this you should be fine....
Final was fair got a 90/100
This helped a lot so I could get my B+....
In all your 4 years at UCLA, you will probably never find an equivalent to Prof Greene. She is truly one of THE best math profs I have ever had. She really takes the time to elaborate on seemingly difficult concepts and I seriously have never learned more from another prof. All I can say is TAKE HER cuz u sure as hell won't regret it! :)
Greene is the best math professor I've taken at UCLA. Her lectures are based in solving problems covered in the course in a step-by-step manner. She's pretty light on theory, incorporating it into the lecture after demonstrating how to solve the problem, which provides context for the theory.
Her grading is fair and examinations are clear and there are no surprises. She extensively reviews the materials to be covered on the exam in class and in office hours. Problems on quizzes and exams are similar to the homework she assigns and nearly identical to her practice exams.
Mean for the first midterm 77.5/100. Mean for second midterm 70/100.
