The one this that I'll remember about his class what he said on the first day: "There are no grades in life. You don't wake up in the morning, brush your teeth, pour yourself a bowl of cereal, and give yourself an 'A'. Grades are no indication of who you are or what you're capable of as a human being. You are NO better than the person who ends up sweeping this room after hours. What separates you from that person is the privilege of education. Use it wisely." Amazing guy, amazing class, amazing TA's. Definitely TAKE HIM, and ATTEND HIS LECTURES!

Spring 2019 - I have just submitted the following for my teacher evaluation and thought I should share here as well: Everything about this course and Professor Sellars is truly magnificent. I honestly wish there were more Professors like him. More Professors that would teach me life long lessons, beyond the classroom settings and in academia. Professor Sellars taught me so many valuable lessons, along with what is actually important in life. It shaped a lot of my newfound perspective on life now. UCLA has good Professors, but I am confident enough to say that the by far is the best one I have ever had and probably ever will have again. He understands the workload, stress, and pressure that we are all under and aims to be the class that does not contribute to that. If anything, in the midst of all the craziness, his class actually calmed me down and alleviated a lot of my stress. Professor Sellars, truly, truly, one of a kind. I wish you could see the meaningful essay prompt he assigned us, this is the only paper I have not only enjoyed writing, but I was actually excited to write it because he made it in a way for us to write and revisit the paper in 10-20 years. I have no words. Amazing is an understatement.

Fall 2021 - I literally didnt go to a single lecture. The homework is to turn in a "ritual" you learned or it could be about anything. Some people drew pictures, someone wrote haiku's, I literally used it as a diary to talk about gossip. You could literally write anything and turn it in. I did the entire quarter homework in two hours (write 10 rituals). There is no directions on what to do. One week all I wrote was "I dropped my rende burrito and cried. Now I know to carry the box with two hands" and I got a 100% lol. So yeah super easy class if you need to get some units. NO TEST, NO QUIZZES, NOT MANDATORY TO ATTEND CLASS, NO BOOK, and practically no homework like you can finish all of it the first day of class like I did. Hope this helps! :)
