Fall 2017 - Love this dude. Definitely cares about not only teaching, but getting your grade up lol. Well this is the last quarter this class is being offered here at UCLA, but he's teaching LS 7B, I definitely recommend this guy. Kinda take a good amount of work and memorizing, but overall thought it was very worthwhile. A lot of people say he's slightly harder than Kane, but IMO it sounds like amongst all UCLA Life Science Professors, Kane and Ellingson are the best.

Winter 2015 - Ellingson is a good teacher. He's pretty easy to follow and a likable, approachable guy. I liked his material, and his spring seminar was the most popular by far. Like the rest of the cluster, just pay attention, take good notes, and review (preferably in groups), and you'll be fine. Definitely a doable class.
