I don't think she is that effective and easy..
I think the grading is pretty random,, and I didnt really learn anything in this class.
This class is just super busy and annoyig...
Busy doesn't always mean Learning.
I'd choose a different professor if I had a chance
One of the most effective, easiest, concerned, and good overall. I say this the ratings say this.
Yea yea, she has too many good ratings but things are not taken into consideration. Everyone can get an A, even if you turn in some assignments late. There's no midterm or graded papers that affect negatively your grade.
The way the grading goes is that you have to make a lot of essays, you submit them to the professor, then she gives them back. Many of my friends had their essays back like 5 or 6 times, and have all told me that the homework is tedious.
So, if you want an A, it is achievable, but you have to do alot of busywork. I mean alot. This class is time consuming.
I was terrified of taking English Comp 3 since I am an engineer, but I actually didn't think the class was that bad. Yes, it's quite a lot of work, so if you can't put the time in then I wouldn't recommend taking her class, but you will learn a lot. I felt that my writing improved tremendously over the quarter whereas I was not happy at all with my writing before I took the class.
So basically, her class is easy but a lot of work. If you are able to put the work in (and not procrastinate) then you will probably get an A and learn a lot.
I didn't really like her. She was a nice lady, but she had too many homework assignments which were pure busy work. Personally, I think college students should not have to do 3 journal entries on what they learned in class each day.
She is obsessed with the extermination of the verb "to be" and even if you have no other option but to have a "to be" verb in a sentence, she will still mark you off for it.
I did everything that was required and did it very well but still got a B, because she takes off points if you don't follow her suggestions. I should have taken another professor who does not give so much busy work.
