The professor is very nice and explains things very clearly. His tests ask about somewhat specific details from his lectures but repeat many questions from old tests so going to the test bank is very helpful. Also he posts detailed lecture notes which are very helpful especially when studying for the midterm and final. If you go to his office hours once he will love you forever. Basically if you have studied the Constitution before and know some stuff about American History this class is a breeze
Really easy class. I stopped going to lecture after the midterm and got an A. The professor posts detailed notes from his lectures on CCLE so you don't have to go. Make sure you do the readings from the Kollman book since 20% of your grade will be based on a midterm essay you need to write regarding those readings. Not difficult, but necessary. I'm selling the Kollman book, if interested text me at 6615635634
Easy class
I went to like two lectures and never went to discussion and got an A
>>>>>>>Don't buy the main textbook.<<<<<<<<
Exams and final essay can easily be accomplished through the professor's lecture notes.
This class is a great GE and GPA booster. The professor reuses old tests for the midterm and final with the exact same questions just reworded. GO TO THE TEST BANK. I can not stress this enough. Besides that, the professor and TAs are very knowledgeable and approachable. The breakdown of the class: 20% Discussion Essay, 20% Midterm, 30% Final Essay, 30% Final. Grades in this class are also slightly curved in your favor. For example, an A is 87%-100%. Extra credit is offered. If you took APUSH or AP Government this information is review, if you did not, this class will be interesting and easy. Really enjoyable class. I would take again.
The class and professor are pretty straightforward, especially because he posts all his lecture notes on CCLE. Also, to pass this class you don’t neccesarily have to do the reading, just make sure you go to the Test Bank for old midterms and finals. He recycles the same questions. Class content seemed a bit repetitive but it was definitely a perfect example of an intro class.
There's a lot of reading required that no one that I spoke to in that class ever did, except maybe for the midterm essay in discussion. It's pointless after that because the final questions are based on his last lecture notes. Average lecturer and tries being funny (a joke or two were), but he isn't too bad. He's a chill professor overall, it's just his slides that are boring.
