TAKE THIS CLASS WITH CONLEY!!!!!!

Literally the best and most caring professor ever. His class was so simple and easy (the last three weeks were a bit challenging but if you keep up it's fine). I genuinely would want to take this class again just to have him as my professor.

Any time you ask for an extension on a deadline he would ALWAYS give it, including labs, and even portions of exams since they have 2 phases. He is so accommodating and would always listen to what his students wanted.

There are so many opportunities to get points in his class besides exams so it wasn't difficult to keep a good grade. I didn't even watch the last 4 weeks of lecture and I still got an A. His class wasn't strict on covering certain topics on certain class days. Sometimes he would over-explain topics which would result in him shortening homework since he couldn't cover the rest of the material until the next class meeting.

For exams, he would always host a review session a few days before it and go over all of the content that the exams covered. Those review sessions were the only reasons I got A's on all of my exams (2 midterms and one final). I'm not even kidding, this man would break down everything and basically reteach all of the material in those review sessions.

Conley was so funny and such a precious guy. He would always show us his dogs and crack jokes in class. TAKE IT WITH HIM!!!!

Will Conley (and Artur who taught with him) are quite possible the best professors on the entire campus. I took this course during the pandemic, and they have been so accommodating and understanding of student needs. LS30B is harder than LS30A, but not only does Conley make difficult linear and multi-variable concepts understandable, he also cares so much about student learning and well-being. He's a fantastic lecturer and is so clear with explanations! Only downside was that we had pre-lectures on top of normal lecture, so the workload was more than a usual in-person class; however, the professors allow you to watch at your own pace since its podcasted and drop your lowest assignments. 100% recommend!!!

Conley is a GOD. Take him at all costs. I was so scared about taking math in college since it was always my worst subject in high school. However, Conley made math great. I took him for both 30A and 30B and I wish I could have him for all my classes at UCLA honestly. A million thank yous to this man!!!! (Also he made our final optional during quarantine!)

Conley is amazing, this class s very insightful and doable, and you will definitely walk out with a good grade if you put in the reasonable amount of effort they ask for. Conley also was so accommodating and helpful given the remote learning, and he is also just a really nice person. Definitely recommend the class!

Conley is an amazing professor. His lectures are super clear and somehow engaging, using a combination of slides and equations/diagrams drawn on the whiteboard. He answers questions frequently and thoroughly in lecture and office hours, and he clearly cares about his students' success. And he erases whiteboards so energetically it gives me hope for humanity.

This is the best class I have taken on UCLA campus. The professor is kind to all the students and understanding when it comes to the grading scales. There is are plenty of extra credit opportunities and getting an A is as straightforward as it gets, pay attention to the material taught in class and you can easily get an A. This is a class where you are able to talk to the professor and TAs about topics you do not understand and know you will receive a fulfilling answer and are surrounded by people who genuinely want you to learn first. If you have doubts about taking this class, you should not, this will definitely be one of the best classes you take on UCLA campus throughout your undergraduate journey.

I don't believe in a supreme being, but if there had to be one, this man is unequivocally the ONE. Will Conley explains every concept and problem incredibly well without any confusion lingering. We've all had those professors that are shady with their responses to questions, but homies, this man explains everything meticulously. You'll absolutely love the lecture on sea turtle conservation and see the beauty in what you learn.

Practice midterms and tests are accurate representations of the actual midterm/final with slightly different wording and algebra involved. Nothing is ever novel or surprising on those tests, so he's beyond fair. Lots of the concepts from LS 30A are interwoven in this course, which reinforces a better understanding of everything. I never had a test score below a 95, and I'm stupid. So if I can do it, y'all can praise your GPA because la lucha es real.

Labs-- just like LS 30A--is agonizing; coding will be the bane of your existence and the thing that haunts you. I am not particularly fond of coding, so I always despised this aspect of the class. Nonetheless, manageable. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, but it's veryyy far away.

I always attended lecture, but by Week 8-9, ya boi was dead and ended up falling asleep quite frequently during lectures. My apologies Will Conley, but life was rOUgH. It's not that he was bad, but it was just me. However, I attended office hours, and was quickly able to make up the missing concepts. So, if you miss a few lectures, you'll definitely bounce back. Interestingly, he often included some questions from office hours into exams, but nothing to finesse your A.

Overall, wonderful professor. Nothing but respect for this man. I don't know how he does all those review sessions, but after all, he is a skinny legend. Love the man and what he stands for. He is incredibly kind and makes deliberate attempts to connect with his students. Deserves a raise, too.

Conley is the goat! Name another professor who hosts 6 hour review sessions to help students prepare for the final. He truly cares about teaching and wants to see students succeed. He uploads practice exams on CCLE before each test, and they are the best way to prepare for midterms and finals. The labs are annoying, but generally boost your grade.

PROFESSOR CONLEY IS THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO UCLA.
I just want to thank Professor Conley for his dedication and support to his students. He is absolutely the best teacher and person ever.
I got a B+ in his 30A class and was super disappointed in myself, therefore I decided to go to his office hours religiously (every week) which was super helpful for homework and upcoming tests. (He does throw some curveballs on the tests.) And in office hours I learned that he is really the greatest teacher ever!
His office hours really really helped me, and his review sessions were (long) but super helpful. He also posts multiple practice tests and reuses some old questions you can find on tests at the test banks.
His lectures are fun and engaging, he does a lot of clicker questions for participation, so very easy points, you don't need to get the questions right! He writes down everything on the board, and as long as you copy everything down you're in good shape.
For labs, he doesn't give you a lab final (thank god!).
Warning: The first midterm material is really really easy, but it gets harder as the quarter continues. The material on the final is WAY WAY harder than what we learned in the beginning of the quarter.
but conclusion: TAKE PROFESSOR CONLEY AT ALL COSTS, HE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!
