The course is super easy if you are Chinese. However, even though you have no background knowledge in Chinese culture, the course is still not so difficult. The workload is not heavy. You have no assignments except the weekly discussion post and one very easy presentation in your section. The midterm and the final are not difficult. You can find the answers from Professor Wu's lectures, and some open-ended questions are very thought-provoking and interesting. Professor Wu knows her stuff, and the lectures are overall well-structured. Some students may consider the lectures a bit dry, and that's true, but you can definitely handle that. My TA Xinong is very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend the course as a GE!

The class overall is pretty easy. There is one midterm and a final. If you cover all the topics on the study guide, you should be fine for both exams. Remember to do the readings!
